September UAW Local 2195 Retiree Meeting

Hopefully this finds everyone well and ready to start back our Retiree Meetings after and enjoyable summer break.

Our next two meetings are going to be very important and should be of great interest to you.  At our September meeting, we will be going over the election rules that will govern the election of our International Executive Board and our Region 8 Director.

Our October meeting will be with our UAW Medical Benefit Trust Representatives.  They will be covering all the changes and the future of our Medical Health Care (V.E.B.A.)  As most are now aware United Health Care is going to be one of our future medical providers, they will be replacing Aetna starting in January 2023.

Our health care providers B.C.B.S & Aetna will be at our September meeting.   If the COVID 19 stays in a manageable state they will be able to attend most of our upcoming meetings. 

As you may be aware I did attend the UAW CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION in July.  I will be making a short report regarding same.

We have obtained the right to use the American Legion Post 15 Hall for our meetings throughout the next year.

I would like to thank Lynn and Jeff Layton for their assistance in helping our Retiree Chapter with the cost of obtaining use of the Post and their facility.

There remains much sickness within our membership and their families.  I believe that is no doubt one of the fringe benefits of our Golden Years.  We ask you to keep in pray those that are sick and unable to attend the meetings.  Also, thoughts and Prayers for our members and family that have passed since we last met.
