Retirees Receive Card To Confirm Address

This year the International UAW will be holding elections for the International Executive Board positions of President, Secretary Treasurer, Vice Presidents and Regional Directors. Candidates will be nominated at the 39th Constitution Convention June 15-19, 2026 in Detroit. In late August 2026, ballots will start being mailed to members who are in good standing that are active, reinstated members and retired members. Ballots must be returned in early October 2026.

In November of 2025, the IEB issued a constitutional interpretation clarifying the definition of retired members. To receive a ballot, you must provide information about your retiree status at uaw.org/retireeinfo 

Once you are there, you will be asked for:

  • Your Full Name
  • Then describe your relationship with the UAW. You will choose “I retired from a UAW – represented facility,”
  • Next it will ask for the year you started working and the year you retired
  • Next it will ask if upon your retirement if you received a UAW negotiated pension.
  • Then it will ask for your employer name. Type in General Motors Saginaw (if you transferred somewhere else to retire, add that location).
  • It will ask if you know your local union number. Type in 2195. If it doesn’t recognize the local number, just type in you worked for Saginaw Steering Gear in Athens, Alabama Local Union 2195.
  • Add your mailing address.
  • Your date of birth.
  • Add a valid email address.
  • Cell Phone is optional.
  • You will be given the chance to check the box for email and text updates. THIS IS OPTIONAL.
  • Lastly submit the form. 
  • To INSURE you receive a ballot, you MUST confirm your information by following the link.
