November Local 2195 Meeting Planned

Monday Nov. 9 at 11:am
Post 15 American Legion
Decatur, AL
Here we are November, the year is moving rapidly and the older I get the faster the time passes. I hope everyone is doing well as of this writing.
At the November meeting the UAW Medical Benefits Trust will be with us. They will explain all our Health Care Benefits for the year 2027. Most of you may have already received your outline booklet in the mail. There is no better way than to get an explanation of all changes than from the UAW TRUST, Representative. We will have all our providers at this meeting. Any an all question you may have: this would be an excellent meeting for you to attend. The Health Care Providers normally bring with them some nice little handouts.
There will no food at this meeting. Our Thanksgiving and Christmas luncheon will be held at our December Retiree Meeting, further will be provided at the up coming meeting.
November the 3rd, Tuesday is an election day I hope everyone will take the time to participate in this most crucial event; our democracy our freedoms depend on our citizens participation.
We in the Unions and Labor movement, have to struggle every day standing up a protecting not only our members current benefits. It is a continuing battle in the legislative halls of our government to protect ourselves from the on slot of all the anti-union organizations that are constantly attempting to weaken and eliminate workers’ rights.
The two things we have that can protect our rights, in an out of the work place, is our Unity and our Vote.
Our Social Security has been under attack for many years. What we have left has been protected by solidarity. As our membership numbers slip our unity slips. Please help to prevent this from happening vote and get your family and friends to vote. Don't be confused regarding who helps protect our existence and rights.
Several have asked how am I doing? I still have an issue I have to get taken care of. Having said that I'm doing fine and still much better health wise than many of our Union brothers an sisters.
I do want to extend a gracious thank you to our V.P. Ken Garner for doing an excellent job in my absence. John Davis has always been there to provide our members with any necessary information and that is just one of the many things he does for our Union. I hope I can at attend the meeting and I hope to see you there,
In Solidarity
