Over The Counter Benefit Reminder

The Over The Counter (OTC) benefit for 2024 must be used before December 31, 2024. Unused benefits do not carry over to the next year. Effective January 01, 2025, your card will be reloaded for next year. The 2025 OTC benefit will be $350 for each person in your household covered by the Benefit Trust.

If you have a problem verifying eligibility to activate your card or have not received a flex card, please contact Retiree Health Care Connect (RHCC) at 866-637-7555, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM ET to verify your eligibility. RHCC will validate your account and then transfer you back to the trust to complete the activation process. Should there be an issue with your eligibility at the Trust, you must wait one week to have your record updated to activate your card.

To find the online store, go to https://www.uawtrust.org/ and choose Benefits and from there choose OTC. It will allow you to register and give you access to the online store.

Many people have not utilized this benefit for the year. If you don’t care to use the plan for yourself, you can always order things to donate to local relief agencies. There are a number of homeless and relief agencies that could use items from the list. Rather than not use your benefit, please consider using it to help those around you who are less fortunate.
