As most of you have heard all of the auto plants that were on strike since our last meeting have reported that have reached a Tentative Contract agreement.  At this time the details are being explained to the membership at their ratification meetings where they will vote on the agreements this week.  Hopefully, by Monday we should have the full and accurate details.

UAW Local 2195 held there last meeting before the summer break. The meeting featured a meal and special guest, retired UAW President Ray Curry. Ray Curry is very familiar to Local 2195 members, as he was our servicing rep starting in 2004 and went on to hold the title of assistant director, Region 8 Director, Secretary Treasurer and then President.

Chair Chuck McDonald conducted the drawing for door prizes provided by Lynn Layton Chevrolet.

We have two scheduled meetings left before and summer shutdown.  As you know we do not have meetings in July and August. We start our meetings back up in September.

We would continue to thank Lynn Layton Chevrolet for their continued sponsorship of our Retiree Chapter.  Lynn and Jeff also send out thanks to our members for their continued trust and faith in doing business with them and their dealerships in the Decatur area.
