UAW President Emeritus Ron Gettelfinger Swears in New Officers

Update On Eligibility of $500 Christmas Bonus

I have been notified by a representative from the GM Department of the UAW, after several meetings and talks between the UAW leadership and General Motors representative to secure the bonus for those who retired from the Delphi Pant and checked the box on their paper work prior to their retirement to remain a GM Retiree will now be eligible to receive the negotiate bonus of $500. per year as outlined in the 2023 UAW/GM National Contract negotiations settlement.

Hoping everyone made it through the ice/storm okay.

I know the big question is still open regarding several of the GM/Delphi retiree’s bonuses.

I have talked with the International UAW/GM Department Benefits Coordinator on several occasions and he tells me they are meeting with the GM HR Representatives and this is a very hot topic of their meeting.

I would start by saying thanks to all who provided food for our November Meeting and Thanksgiving luncheon.

As most of you have heard all of the auto plants that were on strike since our last meeting have reported that have reached a Tentative Contract agreement.  At this time the details are being explained to the membership at their ratification meetings where they will vote on the agreements this week.  Hopefully, by Monday we should have the full and accurate details.
