Hoping everyone made it through the ice/storm okay.

I know the big question is still open regarding several of the GM/Delphi retiree’s bonuses.

I have talked with the International UAW/GM Department Benefits Coordinator on several occasions and he tells me they are meeting with the GM HR Representatives and this is a very hot topic of their meeting.

The UAW position is that GM has violated the agreement and they will take whatever steps necessary to correct the wrong. I was hoping that I would have good news to announce on this issue however I do not at this time.  The GM/UAW Rep. said he would contact me if there was any new information he could share.

So hopefully before the Retiree meeting, we will hear something positive.

We have a couple of issues that are important that we will get into at our meeting. A directive came from the UAW President's Office, regarding union dues/expenditures. 

Due to the potential for inclement weather in Feb., we will not have any of the vendors at the meeting. 

We will try to have several at the March Meeting. If you have any personal requests, let me know at the meeting.

Most of you are aware of our policy for canceling meetings if the school is closed in the City of Decatur/Morgan Co. for severe weather we will postpone our meeting.  This has only happened on very few occasions.
