50th Anniversary Of The Selma March
As promised at the previous retiree meeting I reported that I would notify everyone when I got the info on President Obama trip to AL. The Presidents arrival is scheduled for March 7 which is a Saturday. He will be visiting AL for the memorial tribute regarding the fifth anniversary of the march in Selma across the Edmund Pettus Bridge. The Bridge is well known for its historical role in the Civil Rights movement. If you are interested in going on the Bus for this event please let me know ASAP.
You can email me or call me, after it is determined the amount of interest we will provide the details; where the bus will leave from and the time it will leave and return. There is no cost for the bus ride it will be furnished.
We hope to get the opportunity to let President Obama know how much we would like for him to pardon former Governor Don Seigleman. His political prosecution has gone on long enough.
