Retiree Report - September Meeting

 August 28, 2015
Local 2195 Retiree Members:

I trust that everyone receiving this info has enjoyed their summer. As most are aware our last Retiree meeting was in June and our regular meetings will start back on September 14 at our regular starting time 11:00 am.

We will be having a clean-up day at the Union-Hall on September 3rd starting at 9:00 am. We invited everyone that can to come out and help with our annual clean-up. We will be cleaning inside and working outside cutting and trimming scrubs. We have a couple of large limbs that have broken off the trees on the back lot that have to be cut and moved. We normally have some good help for this event. If everyone shows up there is normally a couple of hours work involved, we hope you can come out and join us, we always have a good time of fellowship.

We have lost several members since our June meeting I will list those names that I have been notified about, we ask that as always you keep their family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.

Waymon Wallace
Curtis Baker
Billy Copeland
Joe Hardin
Dalton Scott
Billy Seagers
Harold Hap Chandler
Benny G. Carter
Walter Jagger
Joyce Helphand
Gary Sandford

This is the list I have; If you know of any that I may have missed please let me know or if I have listed someone in error please let me know, unfortunately there are mistakes made that we regret very much.

At our September meeting we will be having the nomination for our RETIREE CHAPTER OFFICERS that will be serving for the next four years. If anyone is interested they should be at the next meeting. It is my understanding that those that hold office at present will accept the nomination for the next term.

At the September meeting we will have available the remainder of our Swamp John’s tickets they will be used for our luncheon at the October 12 meeting. Tickets were available at the June meeting and out of the 200 hundred tickets that were printed we have approximately 60 left. We’re looking forward to having Swamp John’s for our funding raising luncheon. If you did not get a ticket Swamp John’s will be able to accommodate several over and above the 200 hundred tickets we have made available at a cost of $10 per person.

Hope to see you soon at the clean-up and the future meetings.
In Solidarity,

Chairman Local 2195 Retiree Chapter
